We would like to address our community on the procedures we are implementing to combat COVID-19. We are following the guidelines set by the CDC and recommended to us by our health professionals. To implement other precautionary action to prevent the further spread of this disease to our communities, we would respectfully ask and encourage our customers to call ahead before coming to our shop to pick up, check on, or order items. We would also ask that no vendors stop in unless you have a scheduled appointment until things return to normal. Any business that we can conduct over the phone or over email will help reduce person to person contact and help our community remain healthy. Here at Vaughn Electric Company, Tennessee Electric Motor Company, and Kagmo Electric Motor Company, we are an essential business in keeping our municipalities and hospitals supplied and repaired when products and systems break. We need our employees and their families to remain healthy so we are able to repair products and systems as we receive them or get calls from these customers. Vaughn Electric Company was established in 1949 as Bishop & Vaughn. We have since expanded our Union City, TN facility five times, and we presently have a total of 60 employees.
In 2005 Vaughn Electric purchased Kagmo Motor Co. (motor shop) which is located in Cape Girardeau Mo. In 2008 we established Consolidated Crane Service which helped us expand into the hoist & crane industry (Inspections & Repairs). In 2017 we purchased Tennessee Electric Motor Company in Nashville, TN, which has allowed us to expand our region even further.
Today, we are licensed in the States of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Alabama, Nebraska, Indiana, and North Carolina for electrical contracting, and we WILL work in ANY state in the contiguous United States.

Contracting/Automation
In 2014 we built a new building to house our electrical contracting and automation departments. The building is 75' x 220'. It was built to house our vehicles and equipment, and keep our material secure and organized for each job. The first bay in this building houses our Automation department. This is when our technicians design/build and program automated systems for our customers.
Motorshop
In our motorshop we have the latest technology to help rebuild your electrical apparatus to the highest standard. We have a 72" VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) system that provides a superior insulation system for remanufactured products. We have a 5000lb Dynamic Balancing Machine and a motor test center.
Warehouse
We keep many motors in stock. To help with this we have a small warehouse on site to store our larger in stock motors. Our crane company also uses this facility to store several cranes and spare parts. We have a smaller warehousing area in our main shop where we house all of our smaller motors that take up less physical space.
Office
Our office area at Vaughn Electric houses our AP/AR, secretary, manager and media/marketing positions. We currently have 9 employees that work in our main office. Our friendly office staff is dedicated to helping our customers with any questions they have pertaining to AP/AR or any paperwork issues. They will also help direct you to the appropriate department according to your needs.
